In the last school challenge of Global Perspectives, first grade students worked on a Venn Diagram to compare some features of the country where they live with another country they researched previously. By using compare and contrast in the classroom, students developed important habits of mind such as thinking flexibility, metacognition, and applying past knowledge to new situations.
